AUTHORIZATION TO SELL CHAMETZ (חמץ)

I hereby appoint and authorize the duly elected Board of Directors of the Iraqi Jewish Association of Ontario (the Board) and their assigns to act as my agent, and have power of attorney, in selling any and all chametz (חמץ), owned and possessed by me (knowingly or unknowingly), be they chametz, doubtful chametz, chametz mixtures thereof, and all kinds of live animals that have been eating chametz or mixtures thereof. Further included in this transaction is the leasing of the area in which the chametz is stored. I fully empower the Board to do all that is required to make such a sale valid in order to conform to the halachic requirements and restrictions regarding the possession of chametz during Pesach (פסח), for such time and upon such terms and upon such conditions as in their discretion they shall deem fit and proper.


I hereby also make any Agreement of Sale (שטר מכירה) that the Board may use for this purpose, part of this authorization.


I recognize that this delegation of power of attorney will take effect either by the traditional symbolic acquisition of a physical item, or by verbal expression of agreement to this authorization, or by hand-clasping, or by manually or digitally signing this authorization below, or through the act of submitting this online form.


I recognize this transaction to be a bona fide sale in accordance with all relevant Jewish and Civil Law.
